Mullin/O'Neill residence, Lutherville, Maryland

This large "Georgian Colonial Revival" residence is highlighted by its contrasting trim colors.  They were chosen from an 1890s-period paint catalogue and were applied according to the rules voiced by designers of the late Victorian era.

Side view.  Two shades of green were employed on the shutters and window frames.  This combination helps distinguish the fine lines of the windows from the mass of the shutters.
