Historic House Colors
Completed Projects - New Bungalow |
Elevation Drawing
The owners wanted their house to fit in but with "updated historical colors."
After Painting
The key to success with this project was finding a set of colors that worked in harmony with the fieldstone piers. A green gray upper color was paired with a flat gray green on the lower level to allow the beauty of the stonework to show without being over powered by the house body colors. With significant detailing, only a few brackets and the notches on the columns were highlighted. The trim may look white, but it is actually a very light green to help pull the two body colors together.
Side and Rear elevations
The complex design of the front facade is altered for the sides and back whee things are much simpler. The two tone body is noticable but not overpowering allowing the windows and eave brackets to be easily seen.
