Historic Color Consulting
Completed Projects - Shingle Style |
This large "Shingle Style" residence was built in 1900.
Originally the owners thought about a light body color to contrast with the
stonework. After testing several combinations they changed their minds in favor
of a more colorful turn of the century color scheme. These colors were chosen
from an 1890s-period paint catalogue and were employed by designers of the late
Victorian era.
Porch view.
The colonial style columns are painted white with an historic period gold for
the accents. The spindles have multiple colors to highlight their shapes.
This porch provided a welcoming entry to a lovely home.
