Completed Projects - Ohio English Revival Reborn

English Tudor Revival - Delaware, Ohio

This stunning home is located in the old college town of Delaware, Ohio on the best residential street in the historic area.

Built in 1907, it is the only true English Revival home in the town. It has elements of both the English Tudor and Arts & Crafts

movements built into its complex facades. With many materials to consider; bricks, shingles, timbers and stucco surfaces -

this type of home can easily be over colored.  The owners had a simple request ..."we want the home to show off nicely, not

scream at you ... do want traffic jams in front as people slow down to view it."

AFTER

The final color scheme delineates each floor of the house while not letting any one particular element dominate.

A mixture of late Victorian and early Craftsman colors were combined to produce unity without blandness.

Period Olives, and tones of tan are framed by an English Brown to outline the building and give it definition.

"Every time we look at the finished house, we think of you and how glad we are that we used your services.

Your choices were perfect. The neighborhood has commented over and over about how nice it looks!"Amy and Tom Ohlinger
