Historic House Color Consulting
Completed Projects - Tudor Revival |
English Tudor Revival, Columbia, Mississippi
This 1920s English Revival house is styled after the cottages in the Cotswold
area of Britain. Its main architectural features are the smooth stucco
siding and the elaborate brick & stone work. The key to selecting
paints for this type of home is to supplement the natural beauty of the architecture.
The
stucco is painted in a "marble" color with a period gray/tan trim.
The window sashes are in an English red. The lovely arched entry door
is stark black similar to those in the town of Leek, England.
