Historic House Color Consulting
Completed Projects - Cape Cod |
This 1940’s Cape Cod home sits well back from a rural road. With its previous color scheme it was lost to view as another nondescript building by the side of the road.
Now enlivened with a brighter paint scheme it is a colorful and classy tribute to one of the most popular home styles of the post WWII era.
The red body color was chosen because this house is located in an area of changing seasons and the owners wanted it to stand out year round. The cream trim and dark green sash help bring the roof color into the scheme and provide contrast for the architectural elements as well.
The front entryway had classical /colonial detailing and the color scheme highlights the pilasters that surround the door as well as the traditional six paneled front door. An accent of yellow was used to further highlight the dentil moldings. This is a very crisp and welcoming entryway.
The owners also had me assist them in picking out new roof shingle and color to coordinate with the new paint scheme.
To have me assist you with your front entryway just go to the How to Get Started section and follow the simple instructions for beginning the service.
