Historic House Color Consulting
Completed Projects - Mission Style |
The owners of this wonderful Mission Revival style home in Phoenix wanted to return the house to an historical look. They were interested in colors that would have been applied in the 1920s. Research into historic period paint books suggested a special ivory body color with a Craftsman era brown trim. Accent colors were designed to match the roof tiles and the landscaping.

The rear of the house has a plain adobe style façade. The window and door lintels were highlighted to break the long stretches of stucco and provide visual interest. The window sash was colored in a period brown to resemble weathered wood.
